Psalm 6 (Rhyming)

Oh Lord, if you're mad don't reprimand me,
When you are angry do not backhand me,
Spare me, Lord, because I am weak,
Heal me and my dismayed physique.
Lord, my soul has been so upset,
Why haven't you come for me yet?

Rescue my soul, returning from afar,
Save me and show how kind you really are.
Memories of you in death aren't realized,
In the underworld you are not recognized.

I'm exhausted from sighing so grim,
Every night I make my bed sheets swim.
From all my tears my couch will melt,
My eyes are withered from anger felt.
With my enemies all about,
My eyes have been worn out.

You wicked people can get to leaving,
Because the Lord has heard all my grieving.
My pleas have reached his ears,
My prayers are what he hears.
Frantic is how my enemies will be,
Put to shame, they'll have to flee.
