Psalm 4 (Rhyming)

God, you are my very best part,
When I call please answer the cries of my heart.
You bolstered me in my despair,
Now show me grace and hear my prayer.

Mankind, why do you turn my honor into shame?
Why is worthlessness where you take your aim?
God sees the faithful and picks them out,
Yahweh listens to me when I shout.

Tremble and do not deviate,
Be still, lie down, and meditate.
Offer righteous sacrifices you must,
In the Lord is where to place your trust.

Everyone wonders who will show us good,
Lord, shine your light on us you should.
To my heart, gladness you bestow,
More joy than when food and wine overflow.
I lie down and sleep with peace all around,
For you alone, oh Lord, keep me safe and sound.
