2 Chronicles 27
Jotham becomes Judah’s king, follows God & prospers
Jotham was 25 years old when he started his reign, and he reigned for 16 years from Jerusalem. His mother was Jerushah (Zadok's daughter). He did what right in the Existing One's eyes like his father Uzziah had done, except he never entered the Existing One's temple. But the people still lived in corruption. He built the upper gate to the Existing One's temple and built a lot of Ophel's wall. He also built cities in Judah's country hills and forts and towers on the wooded hills. He defeated the Ammonite king in battle, so they gave him 7,500 pounds of silver, 60,000 bushels of wheat, and 60,000 bushels of barley. The Ammonites paid him that amount each year for three years. So Jotham became strong since he patterned his methods after the Existing One his God.
Jotham dies, Ahaz takes throne
The rest of Jotham's history including all his wars and ways are recorded in the book of Kings. he was 25 years old when he started to reign, and reigned 16 years in Jerusalem. Then Jotham joined the slumber of his forefathers and they buried him in David's city while his son Ahaz reigned in his place.
