Psalm 25 (Rhyming)

Existing One, I lift my soul to you,
Trusting in my God is what I will do.
Please do not disappoint me or fail me,
Please don’t let my enemies prevail me.
We won’t regret it if we wait for you,
But if we’re corrupt, our shame will accrue.

Jehovah, teach me and show me your ways,
For you I will wait for hours and days.
Lead me and teach me the path that is true,
You’re the God who comes to my rescue.
Recall your compassion—bring it to mind,
Since the beginning you’ve been good and kind.
Please forget the ways I’ve offended you,
And use a kind lens when I’m in your view…
That way your goodness can really shine through.

The Existing One is upright and good,
Which is why he makes his ways understood.
Towards justice, God guides those who are in need,
And he trains the poor to follow his lead.
The Existing One’s ways are true and good,
If we keep his alliance like we should.
God, do this for your reputation’s sake:
Forgive me of my colossal mistake.

Whoever offers God fear and respect,
God will train him for the path he selects.
That person’s soul will abide with success,
The world is what his offspring will possess.
God advises whoever respects him,
He’ll show them his law which will affect them.
Directly at the Lord my eyes will stare,
Only he can lead me out of the snare.

Have pity on me—may your grace be shown,
Because I’m afflicted and all alone.
The woes of my heart continue to swell,
Rescue me out of this depression spell.
Consider my trouble and oppression,
And forgive me of all my transgressions.
Look at all the people that contest me,
And see how unjustly they detest me.
Protect me as I take refuge in you,
Please rescue my soul, and do not fall through.
May integrity be protecting me,
While I’m waiting for you expectantly.
Oh God, rescue the Israeli nation,
Save us from all of our tribulation.
