Psalm 10 (Rhyming)

Oh Lord, why do you feel far away?
Why hide yourself in times of dismay?
With pride, the evil pursue the agonized,
Snare them in the schemes they devised.

About their own desires the wicked boast,
The greedy bless then curse the Holy Ghost.
The wicked get angry, and God isn't sought.
"God doesn't exist" is his every thought.

The ways of the Lord will always endure,
God ways are too high for them to procure.
To all their opponents, they mockingly snort,
"You can't defeat me" is how they retort.
"Throughout the ages, we won't be opposed,"
Curses, lies, abuse: that's what they imposed.
Inside of their mouths, gloom and grief are found,
In the villages they're lurking around.
They kill the blameless in the dead of night,
Their eyes watch for more, hidden out of sight.
They lurk in secret like lions in lairs,
They're lurking to catch the afflicted there.
They catch poor people, seizing with traps,
They take them down, their spirits collapse.
Unfortunate souls: they fall to them there,
They says to themselves, "God won't even care."
"God is in hiding, He isn't aware"

Lift your hand oh God, stand up in protest,
Don't forget about those who are oppressed.
The wicked shun God; their backs have been turned,
They say to themselves, "He won't be concerned."
God sees the trouble; just absorbing it,
Unfortunate souls... to God they submit.
The orphaned child: you choose to assist,
But for the wicked: please fracture their wrists.
Find his wickedness; cease it to exist.

God is always king, his reign is at hand,
Entire countries vanish from his land.
The humble have needs, God, listen and hear,
Lord, strengthen their hearts, and open your ear.
Avenge the orphans and all the oppressed,
So that men on earth stop causing distress.
