Exodus 27

ALTAR

“Make a square altar out of acacia wood that measures 7.5 feet on each side and 4.5 feet tall. Make it with a horn on each of its four corners, and make it so that the altar and its horns are all one piece. Overlay the whole thing with bronze, and make bronze utensils for it like pots to remove its ashes, shovels, bowls, forks, and firepans. Also make a bronze grate for it with a bronze ring on each of its corners. Put the grate around the altar’s lower edges so that it reaches halfway up the altar. Make bronze-plated poles out of acacia wood, and insert them into the altar’s rings so that there’s one pole on each side. That way, you’ll be able to carry it. Make the altar out of plates so that it’s hollow just like I showed you on the mountain.

COURTYARD

“Also make a courtyard for my dwelling place.

“The south side should be 150 feet long with curtains made out of fine twisted linen that run along the entire side. Hang it from 20 pillars that each have bronze bases, silver hooks, and silver molding.

“The north side should also be 150 feet long with curtains running along the entire side. The curtains should also hang from 20 pillars that each have bronze bases, silver hooks, and silver bands.

“The west side should be 75 feet long with curtains curtains hanging from 10 pillars.

“The east side should be 75 feet long. The curtains on one side of the gate should run for 22.5 feet, hanging across 3 pillars. The curtains on the other side of the gate should also run for 22.5 feet across 3 pillars.

“The courtyard’s gate should have a screen that is professionally woven out of fine twisted linen and blue, purple, and scarlet material. This screen should run for 30 feet across 4 pillars.

“All the pillars surrounding the courtyard should have bronze bases, silver hooks, and silver molding. The courtyard should measure 150 feet long and 75 feet wide, and its curtains should be fine twisted linen that hang from 7.5 feet up. All of my dwelling place’s utensils including the stakes that hold it up should be made out of bronze.

Keep a lamp burning

“Tell the Israelites to supply you with filtered olive oil so that you can use it to always keep a lamp burning. Aaron and his descendants should keep it burning in the meeting room tent which is outside the veil that shrouds the evidence. Every night they should keep it burning all night long in front of the Existing One. That needs to be an ongoing rule throughout their generations.
