Psalm 21 (Rhyming)

Oh Lord, the king will rejoice in your might,
In your salvation he’ll also delight.
You granted him what his heart desired,
You didn’t withhold when he inquired.
You bless him with gifts—presents that astound,
With a crown of gold, you have had him crowned.
You granted him life when that’s what he asked,
His days contain life that will always last.
He has great riches through your salvation,
Majesty defines his reputation.
You appointed him to always be blessed,
When he is with you his joy manifests.

The king relies on the Existing One,
Touched by God’s goodness he won’t be undone.
God, you’ll overcome those who contest you,
You will befall whoever detests you.
Into the oven you’ll lay them to waste,
Consumed by fire and wrath til they’re erased.
Their lineage will be decimated,
And their heritage annihilated.
They conspire evil to befall you
But their plots and schemes—they will all fall through.
You arrange them and expose their behind,
In your crosshairs their faces are aligned.
In your strength oh Lord, be raised up in fame,
Songs of your power we will now exclaim!
