Numbers 28
(1) God Requests Regular Sacrifices
Then the Existing One told Moses,
“Tell the Israelites they need to bring Me My offerings at their appointed times. Those are My food offerings, and I really enjoy smelling the fragrance they give off.
(3) Daily Sacrifice
“Every day, they need to bring Me two male lambs that are one year old and in perfect condition. They should offer one lamb in the morning and the other in the evening. They also need to bring a grain offering made from 4 liters of fine flour mixed with 1.25 liters of purified oil. This will be a daily roasted offering which will be a pleasant aroma for Me. This custom started at Mount Sinai. And there also needs to be a drink offering to go with it: 1.25 liters for each lamb. Make sure the drink is something strong, and pour it out to Me at the sacred place. Offer the second lamb in the evening with the same grain offering and drink offering as the morning. Cook it so it will be a pleasant aroma for Me.
(9) Weekly Sacrifice
“Then on the sabbath day,* offer 2 one-year-old male lambs that are in perfect condition. Offer them with a grain offering (made from 2 gallons of fine flour mixed with oil) and a drink offering. That’s the roasted offering you need to make every sabbath in addition to the daily food and drink offerings.
(11) Monthly Sacrifice
“Then at the beginning of each month, Israel needs to present Me a roasted offering that consists of:
• 2 bulls
• 1 ram
• 7 one-year-old male lambs in perfect condition
• a side dish of grain to go with each bull (made of 2.75 gallons of fine flour mixed with oil)
• 2 gallons of fine flour mixed with oil for the ram
• a side dish of grain to go with each lamb (made of 1 gallon of fine flour mixed with oil).“I will really enjoy the fragrance they make as they cook those dishes. Here are the drink offerings to go with the dishes:
• 3 liters of wine for each bull
• 2 liters for the ram
• 1.5 liters for the lamb.“That’s the roasted offering Israel needs to offer Me each month throughout the year.
“And they’ll also need to offer Me a male goat to acknowledge all the ways they fell out of line. That dish should be accompanied by a drink offering, and it should be in addition to their daily roasted offering.
(16) Passover
“Then the Existing One’s Passover will take place every year on the 14th day of the first month. On the 15th, hold a feast where you guys eat flatbread for 7 days. Have a sacred gathering on that first day where no one does any work. Present a roasted offering to me consisting of:
• 2 bulls
• 1 ram
•7 one-year-old male lambs that are in perfect condition
• A grain-based side dish for each animal (make it from fine 2.75 gallons of flour mixed with oil for each bull, 2 gallons for the ram, and 1 gallon for each lamb).
• Also offer a male goat to cover for the all ways everyone fell out of line.“Present all of these with the daily roasted offering for that day. Then every day for the next seven days, you’ll need to present the food and drink from that offering with the daily roasted offering. Then on the seventh day, hold another sacred gathering where no one does any work.
(26) Festival of Weeks (Shavuot)
“On the day when Israel harvests its first crops, present a new grain-based offering to Me for Feast of Weeks. Hold a sacred gathering that day where no one does any work. Offer Me the following roasted offering as a pleasant fragrance:
• 2 young bulls
• 1 ram
• 7 one-year-old male lambs
• A grain-based side dish to go with each animal (made from 2.75 gallons of fine flour mixed with oil for each bull, 2 gallons for the ram, and 1 gallon for each lamb)
• Also offer 1 male goat to cover for everyone.“Present those offerings and their drinks with to the daily roasted offering and grain-based offering for that day.
“Make sure everything you offer is in perfect condition.”
