Galatians 6

(1) Evaluate Yourself—Not Others

Spiritual family, if one of you is caught stepping out of line, then someone who is operating in the Spirit should gently correct that person. Everyone should monitor their own individual-selves so that no one is tempted [by what others are doing]. But still carry each others burdens, because that’s aligned with the Chosen One’s teachings. If you think you’re something great when you’re actually not, you’re just fooling yourself. Everyone should focus on evaluating their own behavior—you might even find something to brag about as an individual instead of as a group. In that sense, everyone should carry their own load.

(6) Spread Goodness

If someone teaches you the philosophy, you should share something good with that person. Don’t trick yourself into thinking you can turn God into a mockery—He says that whatever you plant is what you will harvest. If you plant the seeds of your own flesh, you’ll harvest corruption—but if you plant the seeds of the spirit, you’ll harvest infinite life from the spirit. Don’t get discouraged about doing good things, because you’ll reap the harvest in due time as long as we don’t give up. So let’s cultivate things that are good with whoever we can as often as possible—but especially with people who are in the family of God-trusters.

(11) Jesus’s Cross is what Makes Us New

Notice how large these letters are that I’m writing you with my own hand. Some people care about looking competent in the flesh, and those guys want you to get circumcised so they won’t be made fun of for putting so much weight on the Chosen One’s cross. Those people who follow the Jewish custom of circumcision don’t even follow the entire law themselves—they just want you to get circumcised so they can brag about how good your flesh is. But I hope I never brag about anything except for the cross of our leader, Jesus, the Chosen One. Through His cross, the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been circumcised or not—the only thing that matters is that we are entirely new creatures. If that’s the standard you live by, then may peace and compassion rest on you and God’s Israelites.

From now on, don’t let anyone make fun of me, because I carry the brand marks of Jesus on my body.

(18) Receive Favor

Spiritual family, may your spirit be favored by our leader, Jesus the Chosen One. Yes indeed.
