Ephesians 3

(1) Jesus Brings Outsiders into God’s Family

I, Paul, am a prisoner of the Chosen One, but it’s for your sake! (And the sake of other non-Israelites.) God has lots of favor for you, and He’s given it to me so I can steward it to you. Like I mentioned earlier, God has informed me of His mysterious plan. God has always had a secret plan regarding the Chosen One, and you’ll see my understanding of it as you read my writings. All throughout human history, God’s mysterious plan has never been revealed, but now the Spirit has revealed it to His sacred missionaries and prophets. And here’s what He revealed:

Non-Israelites are fellow-inheritors of the same body as the Israelites. Yes, they are fellow-partakers of the promise God presented in Jesus.

That’s what the good news is all about! And that’s why I’m a servant of that good news: because God has given an amount of favor that’s proportionate to His power. God showed me His favor even though I’m the very least of all His sacred people. The favor He showed me was:

  1. to tell the non-Israelites how unfathomably rich the Chosen One is,

  2. and to shed light on how this secret has been hidden in God (the Creator) for ages.

God revealed that favor to me, because He wanted the church to show His multifaceted wisdom to all the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realm. That was in line with the purpose God always had in the Chosen One. In Jesus, we can be bold and confidently access God by trusting Jesus. That’s why we can’t let ourselves be discouraged by the ways I suffer for you. My hardships are for your honor.

(14) Jesus’s Mind-Boggling Love

That’s why I take a knee before the Father. All the family trees on earth (and in heaven) derive their names from Him. I want our Father to give you a taste of how rich His splendor is—I want Him to use His Spirit to inwardly strengthen you so that as you rely on the Chosen One, He would live in your hearts. As you remain rooted and anchored in love, I want you (and all of God’s sacred family) to wrap your heads around the Chosen One’s love. I want you to comprehend just how long, wide, high, and deep His love is. It’s truly mind-boggling. I want you to comprehend His love so you can be filled up to all of God’s completeness.

(20) God’s Power Works in Us

God can do more than we could ever ask or imagine—and His power is at work inside of us!

For all of time, everyone should give God all the credit regarding the the Chosen One and the church.
