God’s “Commandments” are His Code of Wisdom

We often view the word “commandment” as synonymous with “rules,” but the Hebrew word for it is “miswa,” which can carry the connotation of a “code of wisdom.”

God’s commandments aren’t just a bunch of random rules He made up. They are His code of wisdom that empowers humans to live their best lives.
